 "US: Iowa police chief borrows official guns to organise private 'gun-play' for money")
Bradley Eugene Wendt, 47, had
been the Chief of Police of Adair, Iowa since 2018. It is a very small
department, two officers. He also owned a FFL licensed gun dealership
in town., BW Outfitters. He is about to go to federal prison for being
arrogant and stupid and thinking nobody would notice.
Between
2018 and 2022 Wendt sent about 40 "law letters" expressing interest in
the purchase of machine guns for his department. This allowed him to
get the proper documentation for his gun store to possess the machine
guns for demonstrators.
Instead
he used his operation to illegally sell the machine guns to retail
customers. One of them, a Browning M-2, he sold to himself and mounted
on his personally owned armored HumVee. All together he processed about
90 machine guns, including not only the M-2 but an M-60 allegedly owned
by his department, thru his store. For a 2-man police department.
The feds noticed. Wendt was just sentenced to 5 years as a guest of Joe Biden.
