Colt
has been bought out by CZ for $220 million. I confess to being sad,
but cautiously optimistic. Colt management has been spotty at best for
the last several years. The move will give CZ (a fine firm with
excellent products that has been around a very long time) a solid IN
into the American market and will give Colt cash and (with luck)
management who actually has some idea what the hell they are doing.

Maybe they can roll out another Python as good as the original.
The current "new and improved" Python is actually pretty good by most accounts, though is not hand-fitted like the original. Probably are not that many people around any more who can hand fit revolvers, and most of them work for high end custom gunsmiths.
