LA DEPUTIES SUE GHOST GUN "MANUFACTURER"

by Bob Walsh

Two LA County Deputies, both of who were badly wounded in an ambush shooting last year, have decided to sue the Nevada company that manufacturers the 80% "ghost gun" frame , alleging that they "negligently and unlawfully" sold the "gun" that was used in the attack ten months ago.

Deonte Lee Murray was arrested three days after the shooting.  It is alleged he was the shooter of the Glock-type weapon recovered after being jettisoned from a car the cops were pursuing after the shooting.

The recovered weapon was a Polymer80 kit, specifically a PF840c.  This is a unserialized Glock-like polymer frame.  It comes with a drill jig  and instructions.  With basic tools and the rest of the parts it is possible to assembly a fully functional quasi-Glock.  Selling the parts necessary to do so and selling the un-serialized 80% frame is completely legal under current law.  Murray was a prior felon and could not legally buy or possess firearms or ammunition.

The lawsuit against the Dayton, NV. manufacturer was filed with the assistance of Everytown Law, a well-known anti-gun group.

I admit  to mixed feelings about this.  I do not approve of shooting cops or evading federal firearms law.  However, the product they sold was legal to sell and legal to buy for all involved.  To my mind this is sort of like a GM dealer and GMAC being sued for selling a car to a known drunk who then drove while drunk and injured or killed people.

I cut myself with a steak knife last week. It really hurt. So I'm gonna sue the heck outta Cuisinart for manufacturing them. I'm also going after Amazon, who sold those dangerous implements, and probably UPS which shipped them to my home. None of them even required a background check! Americans, it's time to take a stand! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Gun blanks are everywhere. They are sold because they are cheap to purchase then assemble a working gun which is a lot cheaper than buying a new gun. There are entire companies that sell these blanks that don't even have to have a FFL.
