I don't do much serious picture
taking during July and August because it is so damn hot and the lighting
is so harsh. Nevertheless I drove an hour north to Roseville today to
take some photos of the 4014 BIG BOY locomotive. It is the largest
operational steam locomotive in the U. S. That sucker weighs 1.1
million pounds.
About a
thousand or so other people thought it would be a good idea too so
downtown Roseville was more than a little crowded, but it was still
cool. Art recording life. I even shot a roll with my prehistoric Canon
II-F 35 mm film camera.
It was a good morning.
