SPLASH OVER ??

By Bob Walsh

The two rail operators, Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Kansas City, are holding separate talks with the Teamsters' union, which represents about 10,000 workers across locomotive engineers, conductors, train and yard workers and rail traffic controllers. | File photo

The two big Canadian freight railroads both shut down today, locking their people out over a labor dispute.  It is near certainty that, if this last more than a very brief while, that it will have significant splash over into the U.S. supply line, and will of course make a huge ding on the movement of freight within Canada.
