ODDS

By Bob Walsh

2024 presidential debate schedule

A week ago the professional odds-makers were marking the November election 60-40 in favor of Kamala.  Today they are marking them 55-45 in favor of Trump.  If, on Friday, Kennedy jumps over to backing Trump that number will shift even more.  The talking heads were all saying that Kennedy was polling around 4 or 5 % and was taking most of that from Trump.

It is distinctly possible that Trump may owe a win (assuming he gets it) to an old-line Democrat defector.

If the Democrats hadn't shit on JFK Jr. it wouldn't happen.  Sometimes if you shit on somebody who really doesn't have it coming, they are not grateful nor appreciative of the special attention you have given them and they repay the "favor" when the opportunity presents.

We will know better in two days.  I don't think it is a coincidence that Kennedy and Trump are both scheduled to speak in Arizona on Friday.  I strongly suspect they will do so on the same stage, with more-or-less the same message.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The professional odds-makers notwithstanding, all the polls have Harris ahead in most of the swing-states and nationwide. And she's bound to get a boost following her speech at the DNC tonight.
