A
LOT of people in the U. K. are pissed that Harry and Meghan, the Duke
and Duchess of Sussex, are earning a ton of money badmouthing the royal
family. At least one of them is attempting to do something about it.
Bob
Seely is a back-bench Tory member of parliament. He has proposed an
action under the 1917 TITLES DEPRIVATION ACT which would, if successful,
allow the Privy Council to take away their titles and accompanying
status. The law was passed during WW I to take away titles from persons
who were supporting Germany in the war.
Four people did in fact lose their titles during WW I, including three members of the royal family.
