DAMN, THAT WAS A SHORT RETIREMENT JOB

By Bob Walsh

Mark Lawson, assistant chief/division chief of operations for the CalFire Madera-Mariposa-Merced Unit, is shown in 2015.

Mark Lawson was a long-time division chief for CalFIRE in Merced County.  He moved on as to a gig as the Fire Chief in Sparks, Nevada.  He resigned one week later.  He is facing four criminal charges related to the possession for sale of anabolic steroids.

I assume he will keep his CA pension as the arrests and, if they occur, felony convictions will not be related to his employment in CA.

It shouldn't have any bearing on his CA pension. If he gets prison time, he'll have a good commissary account.
