Florida Deputy Andrew Lawson, 23, will appear in court Monday to face a manslaughter charge in the shooting death of his best friend and roommate.
Austin Walsh (no relation) had always wanted to be a
cop. He had been with the Brevard County (FL) S.O. for five years when
he died as the result of someone else's stupidity.
He
was at home playing a video came and took a brake. His roomie, fellow
deputy Andrew Lawson, for some reason passing understanding, picked up a
real gun which he thought was unloaded, pointed it at Walsh and pulled
the trigger as a "joke." It wasn't unloaded. Walsh died.
Lawson called it in and was taken into custody by state agents.
One promising young deputy dead, the second with a ruined life, due to an unbelievable level of stupid.
