Governor Kathy Hochul
The people of New York state are now totally safe from violent crime in the retail setting. Governor Kathy Hochul signed a new law yesterday that requires any retail outlet in New York that has a total of 500 or more employees combined nationwide must provide "panic buttons" to employees. This system could be I-phone linked for the hardware requirement.
The RWSA (Retail Workers Safety Act) goes into effect in six months.
The "buttons" could be on-body or hard-wired at numerous, easy to access locations throughout the premise being protected.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Only in stores the size of Macy's, not in the run-of-the-mill sized retail stores.
