NEVADA PAROLE BOARD SHOULD ORDER OJ TO PAY THE GOLDMANS

The Goldman family was awarded a $33.5 million judgement against Simpson for the murder of their daughter

There is a good chance the Nevada parole board will approve a parole for O.J. Simpson Thursday and if so, he would be released from prison October 1, 2017. He has been imprisoned for nine years on a 33 year sentence for robbery and kidnapping.

The Goldman family was awarded a $33.5 million judgement against Simpson for the murder of their daughter Nicole. They have collected very little because Simpson cleverly. moved to Florida where homestead laws prevent the seizure of his home to satisfy a judgement.

Simpson receives an estimated $25,000 a month NFL pension. He also has a Screen Actors Guild pension and a personal pension in which he invested $5 million many years ago. Like his Florida home, these pensions cannot be seized to satisfy a judgement.

So the Goldmans are fucked, or are they?

Simpson won’t need $25,000 a month to live on. He can live more comfortable than most Americans with just $5,000 a month.

As a condition of parole, the parole board can order Simpson to pay the Goldmans a certain amount each month, as well as a percentage of the assets he has accumulated with his pensions. They are not thereby seizing his pensions. They will be making him pay the Goldmans with his assets.

If Simpson fails to make the payments ordered by the parole board, he will be violating his conditions of parole. Then his parole can and should be revoked and he will be returned to prison.

Will the parole board order Simpson to pay the Goldmans? I doubt it. Instead they will release the double murderer to a life of luxury.
