CROSS STATE CONCEALED CARRY STILL IN PLAY.

by Bob Walsh

H. R. 38, a federal proposal that would allow a person who is able to carry a concealed weapon in one state to carry in any state is still alive and kicking despite stringent opposition from the International Association of Chiefs of Police, a hard-core leftist organization of people who used to be real cops before they became political and forgot where they came from.

A senate version of the bill is being considered by committee now. You might remember that a similar bill passed into law during the Bush 43 presidency that allowed retired peace officers to carry across state lines. The bloodbath that was predicted never arrived. The bloodbath that was predicted when Florida led the way to shall-issue gun permits never arrived either.

Maybe the IACP should worry more about dealing with actual criminals that about honest, law-abiding citizens that may be in legal possession of firearms. Just a wild thought.

The IACP's message grows less about LE and more about politics. They need to stick to their own knitting and enforce the laws of the land. I for one don't give a shit about their organization. They lean left on almost every topic. They think they represent LE, but the truth is they represent their own interests.
