An off-duty medical assistant and former correctional officer, Vanessa, Guerra, came to the assistance of two cops as they were attacked by a female when they attempted to arrest a male on a probation violation.
Officers Brian Loewenhagen and Eric Walters of the Portage, Wisconsin, P.D. were attempting to arrest Jacob Hellenbrand, 21, when Olivia Boomsma, 21, attacked Loewenhagen. Boomsma kicked Walters in the head, knocking him unconscious.
Guerra moved in and slammed Boomsma against a wall, which took much of the starch out of her attack. By that time Loewenhagen got into action and Boomsma was taken successfully into custody along with Hillenbrand. Both cops were somewhat injured but are likely to fully recover. Walters may have a concussion..
