FEDS MAY BE ABOUT TO PEE IN JERRY'S CORN FLAKES

by Bob Walsh

The U. S. Dept. of Transportation Office of the Inspector General has just announced plans to audit Governor Jerry Brown's High-Speed Rail project, otherwise known as Moonbeam's Toy Train. An audit by the CA. state auditor is currently under way.

The federal audit will examine the oversight, or lack thereof, of the Federal Railway Administration of Jerry's pet project. The feds already have $3.5 billion invested in this massive money pit.

The federal money came with specific conditions and it is right now HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE that the state has met those conditions. They have not met the conditions required by the ballot initiative that brought the HSR authority into being in the first place, so that should not be any big surprise.

The current federal guidelines demand that the state finish the first 119 mile segment and complete all environmental studies not later than 2022. It is right now more likely that Howie will be the next Pope than those goals will be accomplished.
