Well known actor R. Lee Ermey died yesterday at the age of 74 from complications related to pneumonia. He became well-known for his rendition of a Marine Corps drill instructor in the movie Full Metal Jacket. He was in fact a former Jarhead and served 11 months in Vietnam. He has of late been often seen in commercials for Glock firearms and as The Gunny in some gun related television shows.
