MORE DINERO DOWN THE SHITTER

By Bob Walsh

Construction of California's high-speed rail project in Fresno is seen in August 2018. (Gary Coronado / Los Angeles Times)

The current budget deal from the formerly great state of California includes $4.2 billion in bond money to continue to pour down the toilet that is laughingly called High-Speed Rail.

Last years budget withheld $9.9 billion in funds which prevented the state in moving forward on a section of HSR between North Buttcrack and South Buttcrack in the CA central valley.

In theory the state now has an independent Inspector General whose sole job is to look at expenditures on the HSR project.  Assuming they have picked someone who is capable of finding a dead horse in a bathtub I expect HSR to be brought to a halt in CA.  That being said I am confident HSR will NOT be brought to a halt.  Too many people are making too much money off of it.
