NEW JERSEY FINALLY DECIDES TO TAKE CARE OF CORRECTIONAL EMPLOYEES

by Bob Walsh

Chris Christie has signed a new bill into law in New Jersey that gives much better protection to Correctional Officers, State Park Officers, jail employees who don't wear a bad and some other groups.

Previously if you were hurt on the job you had to deal with workman's comp, which could takes weeks or even months to get rolling. In the meantime you got ZERO money as you were not at work. I suspect many injured workers got very hungry, and lost cars and houses and places to live.

The new law kicks in come October. Guys, be very careful until then.
