SF TO STOP STRIP SEARCHES OF TRANS-GENDER PRISONERS

by Bob Walsh

The San Francisco County Sheriff announced today that they are planning to stop strip searches of transgender prisoners because the process makes the prisoners feel "uncomfortable." The jail plans to buy a couple of air port scanners and use those instead.

They also plan to initiate a program that will allow prisoners to choose the staff they want to search them in order to get someone they feel "comfortable" with.

Isn't that special??

EDITOR'S NOTE: Oh goodie! Look for the straight inmates to file a federal discrimination lawsuit arguing they too should be allowed to choose the staff they want to search them.

Then when male inmates get searched by female staff and female inmates by male staff, everyone will be very happy.

So it finally happened. The inmates are truly running the prison.
