The 5th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals (New Orleans) just
ruled that a female pot head in Texas can not be barred from owning
guns.
The court cited the
Bruen decision in their ruling. They pointed out that while some early
U. S. laws banned the carrying of weapons while under the influence (of
alcohol) nowhere could they find a law that banned the ownership of
firearms by regular drinkers.
This
situation came up when the cops showed up to bust the husband for
shooting at their neighbor's house with a shotgun. The Mrs, Paola
Connelly, was prosecuted for possession of a gun by a user of
marijuana. She had some weed at the house and copped to smoking it on
occasion.

Good decision. There's no justification for taking a person's Constitutional right away for minor violations.
