IDLE SPECULATION

By Bob Walsh

Why does the Electoral College exist, and how does it work? 5 essential reads

So, we are now not quite 80 days out from deciding the course of our county (either boldly ahead or boldly down the shitter) for the near future.  It could be tight.

The talking heads are now speculating that it could come down to ONE VOTE in the electoral college, centered in Omaha.  Only two states, Nebraska and Maine, apportion electoral college votes.  Most of Nebraska will be reliably for Trump.  Omaha, however, is another story.  It is completely possible that the Democrat-Socialists could pick up that one vote.  It is also now a realistic possibility (as opposed to a theoretical one) that that one vote could decide the question.

I am still more-or-less anticipating the Pennsylvania and Nevada will be the pivot points, but I could be wrong.  I have been wrong before.  The last time was in October of 2005.  I thought I had been wrong about something, but it turned out I wasn't.

It will be interesting to see how much of Senile Joe's bitterness will show up in his speech.  He HAD IT IN THE BAG and his so-called supporters left a horses head in his bed one day when he wouldn't take the hint.  I still think that he is so brain burnt he thought he could do the job.  You can damn well bet that if Harris misses the brass ring he will be the first guy in line to say I TOLD YOU SO.  Or maybe the second, right after me.

Politics.  The ultimate spectator sport.
