FASHION POLICE OFFICER COPS A PLEA

By Bob Walsh

Ida Lorenzo harrassing a teen girl at a steakhouse in Utah

Regular readers will recall I have written a couple of times about Ida Lorenzo, 49, a self-appointed member of the Utah Fashion Police.  Back on April 20 in George, Utah she jacked up a young female customers at a restaurant, berated her for her short skirt, and then took it on herself to rearrange the young woman's clothing.  Ms. Lorenzo was arrested by the real police for, among other things, sexual assault.

Lorenzo was originally charged with sexual battery, a Class A misdemeanor.  She put in a nolo plea to a Class B misdemeanor last week.  She was fired (rejected on probation) from her state job the day after her arrest.

Lorenzo's case will be held in abeyance for one year, during which time she is required to have some mental health counseling and not do anything else illegal or stupid.  Presumably, if she keeps her head on straight, at the end of a year the situation will just go away.
