Davina Corbin
Davina Corbin, 56, of Feather
Falls, CA. was attacked and killed, probably on Wednesday. The killer
is believed to be one or more of a pack of 25 Great Danes that were
found running loose in the area.
Ms.
Corbin was found dead in the very early hours of Thursday by a resident
hiking in the area along the Blackhawk Trail. Deputies who responded
saw the dogs running loose as they executed a search warrant of a home
in the area. All 25 of the dogs were taken into custody over a period
of two days.
A forensic
pathologist has said she died due to the attack of one or more domestic
dogs. DNA testing is under way by Fish and Wildlife to determine which
specific animals attacked her.
Feather
Falls is near Oroville, CA. The local constabulary has yet to release
info on the owner of the property searched or the probable cause for the
warrant. I have a sneaking hunch there are very few people in the
vicinity that are known to keep a couple dozen Great Danes so that
probably narrowed the search parameters considerably.
